Exercise 1: Burpees

Exercise 1: Burpees

Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, then place your hands on the ground and kick your feet backward. Do a quick push-up and then jump up. That movement counts towards 1 repetition. Complete 3 sets of 20 repetitions.

Exercise 2: Dumbbell Side Bend

Exercise 2: Dumbbell Side Bend

To begin in the starting position, stand up straight with your feet shoulder width apart. While holding a dumbbell in your left hand, have your right hand holding your waist. Keep your back straight and your head up, bend only at the waist to the right. Breathe in as you bend to this side, then hold for a second. Exhale as you return to the starting position. Complete 20 repetitions on each hand.

This exercise targets the abdominal muscles and obliques. Lie on your side with your forearm supporting your body. Hold your body in a straight line. Alternate between your left and right sides. Complete 20-30 seconds of this exercise and gradually increase it to 30 seconds to 1 minute each week.

Sit on the floor with your knees bent, feet lifted a little bit and back tilted backwards. Hold the ball and twist from side to side. A yoga mat should be used for back support.

Lie on the floor with your hands behind your ears. Raise your knees and touch your right elbow to your left knee, then your left elbow to your right knee. Repeat the exercise. A yoga mat should be used for back support.

Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your arms flat at your sides. Lift your butt up and down. Complete 30 seconds of this exercise.
